Well, you're probably wondering what this is about.  Friend of mine made a suggestion and I thought I'd at least try it out, for novelty's sake.  If you know the site, you'll know that I hate banner ads.  I can't help it, they just plain piss me off.  At the same time, I like money.  But the rule here is that no matter how much money gets offered, I just can't stand to have a flashing advertisement on my site.  So what my friend said plainly:  Why don't you just paint the banner ad yourself?

And that's what the idea is here.  Are you a company, wanting to sell yourself?  Do you want a place to tell your boss that he spells not unlike someone's butt?  Want to help raise support for your charity of choice?  Want people to read you blog?  I'm not sure of how often I'll be doing this, but here's the deal:  Send me an email at Jared @ headinjurytheater.com and we'll have a little chat on the matter.  From there, if you're still interested (and prices are cheap...I suck at business) I'll paint up a banner for you.  We'll work together, because if you want to advertise something here in the first place, chances are you appreciate what passes for a sense of humor in these parts.  And hell, I like the idea of selling out to people who actually like my website and not some faceless corporation.  There's nothing wrong for putting out for friends and fans, right?  The banner would go on the site for a certain amount of time, not offending me because it'll be my Art and bringing you the traffic you wanted.  Or a clever place to propose to that loved one.  Or just a message to the guy who sits behind you in homeroom.  I'm flexible like that.  The added bonus:  Whatever I end up painting will be yours to keep...I'll mail you the original ink/watercolour/acrylic child we make together.  If it's an advertisement for your company or product, you can keep the rights to it, if you'd like.

So, send me an email if this sounds like something cool or something you'd be interested in.  I'm not sure about it myself but the locals in my home are thrilled.  I think they just are trying to get me to sell out slowly over time and this is their first stage of their master plan.  Only time will tell.
