This is the August of Discontent.
Loved by Darkness, ink, acrylic & watercolor.
There's probably more to this one than I'd care to admit. Then
again, who doesn't like pale gothic green-skinned women in bondage being
oggled by wraiths?
Jungle Lemur, acrylic & ink. I should so lie about this one and say
that I meant for it to turn out like this. I love it but to be
honest it's pure accident. Gotta love experimentation.
The Dire Lemur, ink, acrylic & watercolor. Never visit Madagascar on
the night of a full moon.
Bush Baby #1, watercolor & ink.
Geekheart, watercolor & ink.
Chuck Taylor's Goldfish, watercolor & ink. What is it with my
obsession with fish and fish-people?
Soap Opera, watercolor & ink.
Quiet Jealousy, watercolor & ink. Man, do I have problems. In
case you didn't know already, that's me in the purple lingerie.
:sigh:
Boxed Love, watercolor & ink. I do this to EVERYONE I care about.
Really. Come over to my house and you can see them. Did I ever
tell you my favorite movie is "Boxing Helena?"
Cat's Eyes, watercolor & ink.
Buttlove, watercolor & ink. While this may not be my best work, the
title still makes me laugh.
Crowded Love, watercolor & ink. I'd like the shake the hand of the
man who invented the thong. What? You know it HAD to be a guy,
right?
Monster with Teddy Bear, ink, acrylic & watercolor.
Desfile Esquelético,
acrylic on canvas (50x50). Again, I really should do more work on
canvas.
Hungry Cat, acrylic on canvas (30x30). I had this one hung over my
work area for a few weeks. After much thought and self-reflection, I
realized it was slowly but surely turning me insane.
Silver Puppet, acrylic on canvas (50x50).
Maze of the Minotaur, acrylic, ink, & watercolor on canvas (50x50).
This is a great example proving that I just don't know when to stop
painting.
Captain Ahab, watercolor on yellow paper. When I was a kid and read
Moby Dick, I found the whole homoerotic thing to be JUST as scary as the
man-eating whale. Just wanted to share.
Angler Fish #2, watercolor. Hey look! Another fish!
Ozzy Osbourne's Nightmare, watercolor & ink. By the way, more than
one person has asked me about the expression on the bat's face. All
I'll say is: Do you really think that Ozzy would taste pleasant
if you put him in your mouth?
Egghead, watercolor. I really don't know what goes through my head
when I start painting drunk.
Thorn in Paw, watercolor.
Mr. Portia Spiderhead, watercolor, ink, acrylic on collage. It's
really weird when your own work sets off your arachnophobia.
Sweet Tooth Triibute, watercolor & ink. I may not play the most
video games or have the largest collection of them, but I can and will own
you at Twisted Metal if I have the chance.
Shadow Panda
Rainbow Batman on Friday nights, watercolor & ink. Believe it or
not, this is actually a reference to something. At Superdickery.com,
you'll find a page showing the "Rainbow Batman." It's really kind of
disturbing. Check it out by clicking
HERE.
Hungry Cat #1, watercolor & ink. I like this one more than the one I
did on canvas if only because it doesn't make me do its bidding.
Peacekeeper 2000, watercolor & ink. Believe it or not, this is
actually a character from my game "TokyoCrush" as well as "Evil Genius".
Deepsea Gravedigger, watercolor & ink. I think I've figured it out:
I was a gothic anglerfish in a previous life. It's the only thing
that might explain this subconscious obsession of mine.
Mr. Pringle's Revenge, watercolor & ink. Run, fatty, run.
Here's a birthday card I made for a
friend...
The Front:

The Inside:

I also painted a shower curtain this month
for some reason....
Rachel's Gift, acrylic on plastic.
You have no idea how long something like this takes when you have a
workspace that's 1/5th the size of the thing you're painting.
Pheasant Beast, foam
sculpture with acrylic. I don't know why, but I was possessed with
the desire to buy a chunk of bedding foam, rip it to pieces, and start
painting. This might be the same impulse that makes me watch Three's
Company....it just doesn't make any sense.
This month's banners:

Happy Red Demon, No One Loves You, Never Leave,
Booty Love, Zombie Hooker...anyone?
