Jared ends up posting a LOT of art as well as speaking about himself in the third person.  Here's where he puts the stuff that he particularly likes for reasons that may or may not make any sense.  It's also a great place to just see his weirdness (I mean style) evolve (or devolve in some cases).  Can you tell which month he stopped taking his medication?

February 2007:

Ritalin Love, revisited.  (Ink, acrylic, watercolor)

Accordion Robot.  If you're going to play the accordion on the subway and ask me for money, this is the most that comes out of it.  I think the best part is you'd already know what sound he'd make as he flipped and flopped toward you.  (watercolor/ink)

January 2007:

And still, somehow, he's still emo and whiny.  (watercolor/ink)

December 2006:

The Head Injury Theater Choir singing "Ding Fries are Done."  (right click to save)

I love Operas with totally insane plots about people going crazy and slaughtering their parents with an ax.  (ink)

Reindeer games.  (Watercolor/ink)

November 2006:

There was a goofy contest for the re-release of Nightmare Before Christmas where people entered their own creations....or there was supposed to be.  I hate it when there's a contest, you enter, and then whoever is running the show thinks that people will forget if you just never speak of it again.  I'm not bitter, but oh wait yes I am.  Anyway, I call this guy "The Angler."  (watercolor/ink)

Long Shadows, 1 of 4.  This was done in acrylic and glow-in-the-dark paint for an art installation here in Berlin.  If I had a better camera, I'd show you what it looks like in the dark.  It's honestly spooky and has far too many teeth that only appear when the lights are off.

Halloween 2006 was all about painting a few of my favorite monsters:

Kim Jong Il and his giant monster creation Pulgasari.  (ink/watercolor)

Ben 10 could be so freaking scary if it wasn't meant to be a kid's show.  (ink/watercolor/glue)

Lordi.  It's a band.  Look them up. (ink)

September 2006:

A Diabolic Toy (I did this as a guest comic for www.goats.com)

I made and designed a metal dress.  Neat, right?

Summer/Late Spring 2006: (I was really, really disorganized)

April 2006:

If you don't know who Paul the Kid Eyeball is, it's time that you corrected that.  Click the image to find out what I did with a short story that an 8-year-old wrote in the late 1980's.

Leon, watercolor and ink.  Dear Lord, I love this movie.

Dinosamurai, ink.

March 2006:

Gothic Fantasy 1, ink.  A big theme for this month was trying to see what else I could do with my newfound toy, Indian Ink.  At least I can say it brings me joy.

The Pole-Dancer, watercolor & ink.  Someone challenged me to come up with a superhero.  This was my first idea:  A young girl who finds a magic "dancing staff" that lets her fight crime.  One a related note, why is it that so many female superheroes fight crime in their underwear?  Oh wait.  Never mind.

February 2006:

I think the most memorable thing this month was the 300 Hour Art Crash.  Don't you?

January 2006:

"LeperMan, steal your baby he can", watercolor & ink.  Possibly the best titled painting on the site.  It's even better if you sing it at people who you don't know.

November 2005:

Stark Stalker, watercolor & ink.  I don't paint a lot of stuff from my dreams.  This is why.

Abusive teacher, watercolor, acrylic, and ink.  Illustration for a Cindy Sadler book entitled:  "The Student Singer's Starter Kit."

October 2005:

I have far too many favorite from the Halloween Special.  Check if out if you haven't already by clicking HERE.

September 2005:

"Black Velvet", watercolor, acrylic, & ink.  I really had a lot of fun limiting myself to only two colors....I really need to do it more often.

The Simpsons, watercolor & ink.  Yes.  I painted the Simpsons.  Also, I can't explain why so many of you found Lisa to be so attractive.  You perverts.

August 2005:

Loved by Darkness, ink, acrylic & watercolor.  There's probably more to this one than I'd care to admit.  Then again, who doesn't like pale gothic green-skinned women in bondage being oggled by wraiths?

Jungle Lemur, acrylic & ink.  I should so lie about this one and say that I meant for it to turn out like this.  I love it but to be honest it's pure accident.   Gotta love experimentation.

Quiet Jealousy, watercolor & ink.  Man, do I have problems.  In case you didn't know already, that's me in the purple lingerie.  :sigh:

Rainbow Batman on Friday nights, watercolor & ink.  Believe it or not, this is actually a reference to something.  At Superdickery.com, you'll find a page showing the "Rainbow Batman."  It's really kind of disturbing.  Check it out by clicking HERE.

Captain Ahab, watercolor on yellow paper.  When I was a kid and read Moby Dick, I found the whole homoerotic thing to be JUST as scary as the man-eating whale.  Just wanted to share.

July 2005:

The Emo Emu, watercolor & ink.  It's true.  Still, if it wasn't for online Emo kids, there would be no drama at all.  And by kids I mean everyone, since I'm sure half the 13 year old girls who chat online are really 47 year old balding men.

Mandela Mask, watercolor.  I really like this one if only because I'd really had a lot to drink when I made it.  That sort of shows I think.  God knows if that's a good or bad thing.  Don't do drugs.  They're bad. OK?

Get the Damn Door, watercolor on black paper.  The furthering adventures of the Shadow Monk.

So very Untitled, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.  This is a sort of obscure "Vampire the Masquerade" tribute.  And that's a nose ring.  I swear.

Deep Blue, acrylic.

July 2005:

4XXX, watrcolor & ink.  I can't really tell you what this picture is about, but the title's a pretty good hint.

May 2005:

Where is my Ritalin?, acrylic & ink.  Because I need it.  NOW.

Freddy Loves Me, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.

Smoking Demoness, watercolor & ink.  Tribute to "Angel" the Demoness on Keenspace.  What's funny about that is that they were asking for fan art before their webcomic was even out.  Out of the sheer thrill of drawing a character that's not pictured on the site yet (barring a few minor details) I churned this girl out. I'm told I at least got the personality right.

March 2005:

GothRockRedDog, watercolor & ink.  Why does this make me think of the Little Prince?

These are my two favorite examples of this a tiny Photoshop experiment.  Click HERE to see the rest of them.

February 2005:

Rejection, acrylic, watercolor, & ink.  I did this for as requested for an article for Classical Singer magazine.  Ironically enough, it was rejected.

Nervous Cat, 30x30, acrylic on cavas.  SOLD.

Countdown, watercolor & ink.

January 2005:

Ambition, watercolor & acrylic.  The FIRST.  This bad boy was the painted just to see if I could still paint after a 7 year break.  It's kind of a shame that a lot of the art that I've done after this wasn't as cool. SOLD.

King Kolobos of Atlantis., watercolor & ink.  Character from a card game I developed.

Bait, acrylic, watercolor, & ink.  I did this for a Magic the Gathering.

Danny Elfman on Drugs, crayon.   Done under duress.

TAKE ME BACK!

Copyright Jared von Hindman 2005 or something like that.  Of course Jared stole all this stuff from this crazy homeless guy who lives in the subway station down the street but what's that poor bastard going to do?  Hire a lawyer?
