May 25th: Viewer Requests, in Ink

All three of these were based off emails I got this week. They were: "Paint me something from the Clone Wars cartoon", "I'm pro-life. Can you do some art for me?", and "I want to see what exploding candy would be like." It's up to you guys to figure out which is which. In regard to Clone Wars: I've only seen one episode so what I painted may be SUPER obscure.

It was a friend's birthday last Friday, so I ended up Rotoscoping a few prints of her headshot (as in singer, not porn star) as a gift. If you're not sure what rotoscoping is, I recommend talking to Ralph Bakshi.

Saturday the 14th: Painted Dream "Lost"

I don't talk about my dreams to much. Well, actually I talk about my dreams regularly, but only to someone who's paid to listen. Don't worry about it. Last night I had a dream where the last descendant of a God that once walked the earth was the last being alive on the globe. All the Children of Cain and Abel had killed themselves off and only the remnant of a forgotten remnant was left....looking for a way to enter Oblivion. In the end he went a little crazy and created lesser beings that were his failed attempt and creating them in the image of his ancestral God-father to populate the empty cities. Of course, as only those with divine blood can destroy the truly divine, his true motive was creating children who would one day destroy him...just as he always wanted. Did I mention I have weird dreams? When I woke up, I painted him. In Pastels. Go figure.

Friday the 13th: "Because it's there."

Don't ask my why I painted a Monster Mountain for Friday the 13th. I think the last two have been overly-dedicated to Jason Voorhees and I just wanted no part of him. You know, because once you write 10,000 words on Jason you start to get a wee bit sick of him.

Oh and I hope you enjoyed the holiday. I know I did.
